ROUND #9 OF CHEMO: CLOFARABINE #3

Monday - December 1, 2025
Her spirits were high going into this round. They had a book and superhero outfit for every kid that had an appointment in oncology that day.

She was very sad right before I took this picture, but smiled when I told her I wanted to take a picture. She loves all the princess toys in oncology. This chair is where she sits the entire 2.5 hours of her infusion.

We usually order her lunch while we are there. We tried sweet potato fries this day... Wasn't her favorite. She ate a little bit, but was done after a few bites. The staff in Lehi is so amazing with trying to keep Isla entertained and happy while she's getting her infusion.

I've been having a lot of fun getting her ready for her treatments. I have to bribe her, but she almost always lets me do her hair. We've been getting her infusion-friendly clothes. Easy for access so we don't have to take her shirt off. Walmart has a lot of really cute, infusion-friendly clothes.

Friday - December 5, 2025
We had the time getting ready in the morning, so I tried something new with her hair today. The last day is usually hard, but Isla is always so relieved to be done with treatment. You can see from the pictures that she felt exhausted and does not feel good. She was trying hard to smile for the picture. So much for a little girl to go through.

She didn't want to sit in her infusion chair. She wanted to sit by mom and dad. Lots of cuddles today.

Half way done with Clofarabine! Only three more rounds, but feels like light years away until we are done. We are incredibly grateful that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Isla is the strongest, most resilient little girl! What a blessing it is to be her parents.

Love, Megan
